One day, an old man and women were lonely, so the woman said, "Hey! Let's make a Gingerbread Man to keep us company!" The Old man said, "That's a swell idea!" The old woman through the Gingerbread Man in the oven, and she said, "All we have to do is wait!"
They took the gingerbread man out of the oven. He stood up, looked around, and ran out of the house. He said, "Run, run! You can run. Yes, you can! But you can’t catch me. I’m the gingerbread man!"
As the Gingerbread Man was running, he saw a cow. He stopped running, and the cow said, " Moo! You look tasty! I want to eat you!" The Gingerbread Man started running again and said, "If I can run away from an old man and woman, I can easily outrun you!"
Next, the Gingerbread Man stopped to drink some water, and he saw a horse. The horse said, "Neigh! You look scrumptious!" The Gingerbread Man wiped his face, started sprinting, and said, "You're much faster than a cow or an old couple, but don't get too cocky! I am much faster than you!"
The Gingerbread Man ran to the other side of the forest, but the only thing that was ahead of him was water! And everyone knows that gingerbread men can't swim! The horse was closing in! What could he do? He saw a fox in front of him who said, "I'll help you get across the lake! Just hop on my tail!" The Gingerbread Man replied, "Okay! Thank you so much!"
The Gingerbread Man is settled on the fox's tail, but as they are halfway across the river, the fox says, "You are getting to be too heavy for my tail. Hop on my head. It's sturdy enough for you to get across!" The Gingerbread Man replies by saying, "Okay!" and moves to the fox's, head. A few seconds later, the fox lifts up his head, which hurls the Gingerbread Man, and catches the Gingerbread Man in his mouth. Once the fox eats the Gingerbread Man, he says, "You can never out run me!"
