The Fad diet I am trying is called the Dukan Diet which is a diet that claims that you can eat as much as you want and not gain any weight. as long as you stick to the foods on the Dukan diet list.
That's interesting so what is a Fad diet in general?
A Fad diet is a diet that is popular for a time but it's popularity decreases very soon and Fad diets are usually very unsustainable.
But isn't it harmful if you cut off certain food groups if you you have a Fad diet?
It can be depending on the Fad diet you are trying but some Fad diets do work if you do it correctly. The Dukan diet does have some negative sides to it because it has 72 animal sources and only 28 plant based foods out of the whole list of foods so it lacks carbohydrates in the diet because it is predominantly a protein based diet so it is unbalanced and can make the person using the diet weaker as a result.
