  • Poorly armed Russians -> Hours of work with low wages at factories -> Food prices riseSignificance: WWI rose the feelings of resentment  in Russian people. Now people were willing to protest against this cruelty and do something to get out of this struggle

  • Czar Nicolas II abdicated! Duma set up a new Provisional GovernmentSignificance: Russia was finally free from Tsar's rule. It was no more an empire
  • FEBRUARY REVOLUTION
  • Promised “peace, land and bread”Overthrew the provisional government. Supported by BolsheviksSignificance: Rise of new leader who took Russia out of the old belief system and guided it towards a modern nation
