Finally, Prince Escalus enters and tells them to stop. Most of the crowd leaves, but Lord Montague, Lady Montague, and Benvolio stay and talk about Romeo, Lord Montague's son. They have all noticed that something has been bothering Romeo but they don’t know what it is. Finally Romeo approaches and Benvolio promises to find out what is wrong. Benvolio talks to Romeo, and Romeo tells him that he is in love with a woman that does not love him back. Benvolio tells Romeo that he should move on and forget her, but Romeo says he cannot.
