  • The US Supreme Court (9 judges) is in charge of the Federal level of the judicial branch. The Kentucky Supreme Court is in charge of the State level. Now, the County Clerk and Kentucky Court of Appeals is in charge of the Local level of the Judicial Branch. The House of Representatives and the Senate are in charge of the Federal level of the Legislative branch. The House and the Senate are also in charge of the State level. Last, the Metro City Council is in charge of the City level of the Legislative branch. The President is in charge of the Federal level of the Executive branch. The Governor is in charge of the State level. Finally, the Mayor is in charge of the City level.
  • The main responsibilities of the Executive Branch is Applying and Enforcing each law.
  • The main responsibilities of the Legislative Branch is creating the laws, creating the amount of money they want to use/Budget, and deciding how much taxes cost.
  • The main responsibilities of the Judicial Branch is to make sure the laws are fair, to decide consequences for people that break the laws, and to interpret laws.
  • Some interesting facts about the Executive Branch is that the President can veto the law if he/she does not like it. Also, the President's term is 4-8 years, the Governor's is 4-8 years, and the Mayors term is 4-8 years. Some interesting facts about the Legislative Branch is that the Senate has 100 people, and the House of Representatives has 435 people. Also, the House of Representatives and the Senate's term is 2 years, and the Metro City Council's term is 4 years. Finally, some interesting facts about the Judicial Branch is that there is no term limit for the US Supreme Court (9 judges), the term limit for the KY Supreme court (7 judges) is 4 years, and the term limit for the County Clerk and KY Court of Appeals is 3 consecutive 4-year terms.
