Whitsunday Island is the most popular island in Australia by far. It is home to the famous Whitehaven beach. This beach's sand is so pure that you can brush your teeth with it (crazy right).
Whitsunday is apart of many islands (74) that make the Whitsunday Islands. Many of these islands are apart of a the Great Barrier reef and the Reef Marine Park.
I forgot to brush today so good thing I can just brush with the sand.
Fraser Island is the largest sand island in the world. It has ocean water, but is not good for swimming because it has very rough waters. But luckily it has many beautiful lakes within the island, that are good for swimming. Lastly, there is a beach highway that you can drive along and have a good time.
Rottenest Island is located on Australia's West Coast. This island is very interesting. This island was once used as a military base during war, and is home to the Quokka. This animal is only found on Rottnest Island, so they are very rare. This island also has amazing beaches that you can swim or relax on, and it is a pretty small island. It is only 7.3 square miles, so the most recommended way of traveling is on a bike.
On this island there is wildlife everywhere. There are Kangaroos, seals, Koalas, and wombats. This is an island where you can experience Australia's wildlife first hand.
Cockatoo Island isn't like some of the other "paradise" islands. This island is One of the convict penal settlements. On this island you can see where the convicts were, and learn a little bit about the history of Australia's convicts. Today this place is a good place for picnics and BBQ.
This Island has a trampoline in the ocean which sounds like a ton of fun, a beach that is great for kayaking, snorkeling, and paddle boarding. Oh and how could I forget. You can walk through a rainforest and look at all the nature and beauty. Then once you're done with that, you can check out the nearby Great Barrier Reef.
This rainforest is cool
These lakes are really cool. I want to go swimming in them soon
