"I don't remember going to sleep. All I remember is waking up hear - a place as familiar as my own face."
Fiona wakes up and is confused about when she had gone to sleep and why her room was dirty and not the way she had last remembered it.
Fiona then gets up from her bed and peeks out of her room. She realizes the house and abandoned and everything is old as if it had been abandoned for years.
Fiona looks in the the mirror and notices she is at least in her 20s and no longer 13. I chose this scene because it introduces the conflict in the story which is Fiona doesn't understand what has happened to her and the world why she was sleeping.
