Storyboard Text

  •  Plot Luke is the Third child of the Garner family, him and his parents are violating the law of having a third child ever since the population grew. The family and him live in a farm making Luke free to go outside. A neighborhood was going to be built right next to the Garners farm, the family finds out and forces Luke to stay indoors forever. Luke sees a figure inside the house right next to him, Luke new all the families who lived at his area all had two children. Luke was curious about the figure in the house so he sneaked out and met another shadow kid named Jen Talbot. Jen was planning a protest for shadow kids to be allowed outside then hide. Luke denies going to the protest, Jen and other shadow kids head to the the government's house being surrounded by population police.  Jen was leading the whole protest, until she gets shot by one of the population police and the whole gathering of kids disperse.  Luke was at Jen's house watching the news of what was happening, Jen's dad enters the house and finds Luke, Luke explains what he was doing, Jen's father was part of the population police he could make a fake ID for him. Luke's family agrees to the idea and Luke finally gets to be free.
  • Luke's mother left Luke to sleep in the basement to never to be seen, this is how he would watch all the neighbors.
  • Setting The setting of Among the hidden is not very pacific  but it is out i the open since Luke was able to go outside and not be recognized by anyone.
  • Jen could contact other shadow kids by her computer, this is how she led the protest.
  • Luke Garner  Luke is the protagonist of the story, he is very timid and fearful unlike Jen. Luke's personality changes through out the book he becomes more courageous and brave because of jen's actions.
  • Jen Talbot  Jen is the first friend and shadow kid Luke meets, she is very bold, daring and is not afraid to take risks. Jen doesn't really change throughout the book she was just really straight forward and just wants rights for shadow children to go outside. She later dies in the book by leading a protest for shadow children to how freedom to come out from hiding. Jen is the key for the book to continue
  • George Talbot (Jen's Father) Jen's father is part of the population police after his daughter's death he met Luke and he was the one to make a fake ID for him just like he did to Jen. George does not change throughout the story because we meet him torwards the end.
