In a large house, there lived an elderly man and his caregiver. The old man had cataracts which his caregiver hated. The old man was so innocent and had never done anything to harm his caregiver.
The caregiver hates the old man’s eye and wants to get rid of it. The only way for him to get rid of the eye is by killing him.
The caregiver starts to stalk the old man in hopes of killing him. For seven consecutive nights, the caregiver watches the old man in his sleep.
On the eighth night, the old man wakes up to hear the caregiver in the room. The caregiver immediately flips the mattress onto the old man and he suffocates and dies.
The caregiver hides the body under the floor boards then hears that the police had come to his door. The police say that the neighbors had heard a loud shriek and wanted to investigate. As they are beginning to chat, the caregiver starts to hear the old man's heartbeat.
The caregiver can not stop hearing the heartbeat of the old man. He decides to confess to the murder and lifts up the floorboards to reveal the body. The caregiver then realizes that the heartbeat was just his conscience.
