My storyboard about oil

Storyboard Text

  • The most simple way to explain how oil is formed is this: Oil is formed when life forms die in the ocean. When they die, they sink to the bottom of the ocean.
  • There, dust and sediments cover the remains of the life forms. Over time, the life forms that died turn into oil.
  • Oil comes naturally to the earth's surface. People who pump oil use drills and pumps to bring it above ground.
  • We use oil for lots of different things. for example, we use oil to drive cars, produce electricity, and heat buildings and houses. Workers in the industry have oil as raw material to make plastic.
  • Oil has caused lots of wars in the world. People fight over oil because it is very valuable, and the fights get so big that it starts a war.
  • Ways this problem could be solved are: Make oil prices way lower so people will not want it because it won't be worth a lot. Scientists come up with a new energy source.
