I love the new railroads and factories, but I wish we could go on strike.
I got a bonus because I succeeded!
How can I provide for my family with low wages?
We are going to get arrested!
Stalin took our land and animals!
We need to burn the crops.
I'm going to die in here!
Why am I at this labor camp? I only spoke out against Stalin.
GET TO WORK PRISONERS!
Stalin built new factories and power stations which made oil, steel, and coal production grow. The workers still had low wages, the standard of living was low, and workers were not allowed to go on strike.
The kulaks killed farm animals, destroyed tools, and burned crops because they wanted to resist the collectivization enforced by Stalin.
People were sent to work in Gulag brutal labor camps because they spoke out or went against Stalin's rules and laws. Many died in these camps.
