  • Oh, Romeo, why do you have to have thy name? Can you forget thy family and change your name?

  • Romeo my darling, the moon is always changing so don't swear by the moon!!
  • I swear by the moon...
  • Oh, no! Stay here, the Nurse is calling...
  • Juliet: "O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo? Deny thy father and refuse thy name. Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love,And I'll no longer be a Capulet." (2.2.35)
  • I do not want to leave because leaving you is a thousand times worse...
  • I'm begging you to stop and leave me to my sadness. Don't worry, I'll send a messenger.
  • Romeo: "Lady, by yonder blessed moon I vow, That tips with silver all these fruit-tree tops-Juliet: "O, swear not by the moon, th' inconstant moon,That monthly changes in her circle orb,Lest that thy love prove likewise variable." (2.2.109-110)
