After he faked his death, Huckleberry Finn scavenges the island he escaped to, looking for animals and plants to eat when he stumbles across Jim, an escaped slave who is on the island with him.
Huckleberry Finn and Jim then work together to survive on the island. Despite their differences, they work together in harmony perfectly.
I chose this scene because it shows that friendships can occur despite two people's differences. It also develops a good friendship that I believe will last throughout the story.
