Storyboard Text

  • The story about Jesus is true.
  • I know the story was true because I was there. Almost forgot, Berlioz, you are going to die pretty soon.
  • No it's not
  • I condemn you to death!
  • This is the beginning of the story we hear two writers arguing. Then Woland comes in and interrupts the conversation. This is an important moment because the reader is introduced to Woland.
  • In this scene Woland flashes back to Jerusalem. He does this to tell Berlioz and Ivan about Jesus' death. 
  • In this scene Professor Woland's prediction that Berlioz would die has just come true. This is the first sign that the Woland is not from this world. Ivan decides to chase after this mysterious man.
  • In the beginning of the second half of the novel Margarita, the Master's secret wife, is contacted by Azazello, one of Satan's accomplices. He clues her in that he might be able to find the master if she is a hostess at Satan's full moon spring ball.
  • Once the party is over Satan lets Margarita have any wish that she wants. She chooses to save a girl with a tortured soul. Satan grants her another wish and she choose to summon the Master.
  • Satan is told to give the Master "peace". He decides to send the Master and Margarita into the afterlife. When the Master sees Pontius Pilate he is looking at the moon with his dog. Satan instructs the Master to set the man free, which he does.
