Do you take me to be a fool? I tell you the Colonists may not pass those mountains!
The Sugar Act 1764
here we go again
it's not my fault
what! you want me to get myself killed just so you can get your stupid taxes
heh! heh! stupid colonists wont even realize it
The Boston Massacre 1770
The king has proclaimed that no colonists shall even set foot upon the Appallation Mountains upon pain of death! Because King George didn't want to generate more debt by supporting little skirmishes between the colonists and the natives.
The Boston Tea Party 1773
We will not pay for the tea.
Honestly who needs sugar? The price of sugar has gone up in order to pay for the war. Our solution: smuggle sugar from other places in order to avoid the taxes.
The Intolerable Acts 1774
The Redcoats attacked us without reason. We were unarmed and did nothing to provoke them. Their Captain gave the order to fire from behind his men. The colonists attacked us with clubs and snowballs. My men fired without my order and I was in front.
The First Continental Congress 1774
why are they asking me?
We will not pay the taxes on tea ( even though the price went down with the tax). We will throw the tea into the Boston Harbor instead.
These laws included the Quartering Act, The Massachussets Government Act, The Boston Port Act, and The Administration of Justice Act.
We simply cannot tolerate these laws!
what's going to happen next?
The colonists meet in Philadelphia to discuss what they should do about the Intolerable Acts.
