Storyboard Text

  • Orpheus is going to marry the love of his life Eurydice but before the wedding starts she is bit by a snake and falls to her death.
  • Orpheus goes to the underworld for his love to get her back. Because of his beautiful music the underworld let him in. He found Hades and Persephone and asked them for his love back. Hades agreed but he said if he looked back she would disappear. Orpheus looked back when they were walking because he thought it was a trick and she disappeared.
  • Orpheus goes back to the earth where he tells himself he will not love anyone else other than Eurydice. Many ladies were upset because he would not love them. Then Dionysus kills Orpheus. He goes to the underworld where he is reunited with his love where they walk side by side so he doesn't have to look back.
  • Minos the king of Crete locks Daedalus in a tower for helping a geek hero escape the maze. His plan is to leave is by flying out of the tower he asks his son Icarus to gather feathers to make wings.
  • Daedalus achieves flight in a caution test and so he believes this will go well. He makes wings for his son and gives him advice. Not to fly too low where the fog will damage the wings, nor too high, where the sun will melt the wax.
  • Icarus and Daedalus set off to fly. As they start flying Daedalus sees that Icarus is flying very far up. His wax starts to melt off and he plunges into the ocean and dies. Daedalus buries his son in a land he named Icaria. Then he flies to Sicily to hang his wings as an offering to the god Apollo.
