The main characters are Roy, Napoleon, and Beatrice and they are scared for the owls. They decide to help the owls so they try and delay the pancake house from being built. The owls are a protected species too so the mother paula's pancake house shouldn't build it.
They end up saving the owls and their homes.
Everyone cares about the protected and rare burrowing owls more than pancakes. The Mother Paula's pancake people don't care about anything but money. Children from the school and the main characters join together around Napoleon protesting.-i+++++++
Owl lives matter
Roy opens the door and thinks that it is for his dad but it is a reporter for him. She called him a hero for looking out for the owls. He got a article in the paper and he saved the owls.
It wasn't easy but Roy, Beatrice and Napoleon saved the owls. The owls were endangered and it was illegal and not right for them to try and hurt the owls. In the end they fought for what was right and showed how kids can make a difference.
