There are three different types of verbals.
A verbal is something that normally tells an action . Linking to Verbs .
The first is a Gerunds. They end in "ing "and act as a noun. An example is: Jane enjoys reading.
Next is Participial they functions as adjectives and usually end in "ed" or "ing" An example is: The starving man ate his lunch.
Finally there is Infinitives. Which begins with "to" They act as nouns, adjectives and adverbs. An example is: Lily had returned to the library.
So use Verbals in your writing next time.
