  • Simile- A Comparison between two things using like or as. 
  • That Dog is as fast as a Cheetah 
  • Metaphor- A comparison between two things NOT using like or as.
  • That Dog is a Cheetah racing through the field
  • Hyperbole- Exaggeration about someone or something. 
  • That dog is faster than a racecar going down the track
  • Personification- Giving a nonhuman thing human qualities 
  • That Dog Can't Speak, but if he could he would probably be saying "Finally, Something to eat" when the owner arrived with Dog Food
  • Alliteration- The Repeating sound with the first letter the same.
  • The Dog darted to dinner for dog food.
  • When that dog Knocked a plate on the floor it went "BANG."
  • Onomotopoeia- A word that imitates a sound.
