- Nicolas Copernicus was the first person to discover the heliocentric theory. No one believed him until Galileo Galilei agreed with him in 1543.

- Galileo Galilei proved that the heliocentric theory was correct. He also invented the telescope.

- Today class, we will be learning about the scientific method!
- Francis Bacon created the scientific method. The scientific method is a way to get scientific knowledge based upon inductive reasoning (hypotheses).
- Scientists during the Scientific Revolution faced many problems with the church. This was because the scientists theories went against the Bible.

- We use many of the things discovered during the scientific revolution today. Things like space travel use many of the things we learned from these scientists such as Newton's laws of motion and gravity.
