Muhammad was born around 570 C.E in Makkah. At this time, his father wasn't around because he had died before Muhammad's birth. He was later then sent with a nomad family and came back at the age of five or six. His mother died afterwards and was sent to live with his grandfather, Abd al-Muttalib. Abd al-Muttalib later died and was sent to live somewhere else.
Muhammad's Teaching Rejected
Muhammad was later then taken in by his uncle, Abu Talib. Abu Talib was a respected merchant and took charge of Muahmmad. Muhammad watched his family's flock of sheep and goats. Later he accompanied his uncle on a trading journey and soon he Muhammad became a trader. Muhammad later then became a trader for the next 15 years.
Message from God to Muhammad
Muhammad then spent most of his time up in the mountains praying in a cave. He was visited by an angle named Gabriel who declared him as the messenger of God. He was told to teach people about treating people with compassion, honesty, and justice.
Died in 632 C.E
Muhammad began to preach other Makkans. He taught that people must worship one God and that the wealth should share their wealth. Soon, members from his clan became Muslims. Makkans rejected Muhammad's teachings and leaders did not want to share their wealth. Muhammad's monotheistic teachings disturbed Arabs who did not want to give up their Gods
Muhammad was then been said in the Koran where he was brought to Jerusalem by a winged horse. He claimed that he met Abraham, Moses, and Jesus which then met God. He then went on to leave Makkah and on to Yathrib. He left in 622 C.E on a journey called Hijrah. In Yathrib, which then he developed a new Muslim community as more Arabs converted to Islam.
Muhammad had finally died in March 632 C.E. Before he died, he reminded Muslims to treat each other well and to be faithful to their community in the town of his birth. He also led hid final pilgrimage after his death
