James I believed in the Divine Rights of Kings which caused tension between the Parliament and the Monarchy.
The Civil War began in 1642 between the Cavalries or Royalists, supporters of the the king, and the Roundheads, supporters of Parliament.
Oliver Cromwell abolished the monarchy and set up commonwealth. Then beheaded King James.
James II fled to France when he realized that he had little support from England, causing the start of the Revolution.
William of Orange and Mary take over, start a new monarchy which is the end of the revolution.
The English Bill of Rights were made.
