Hi i'm neighbor Gene and i'm at the Tibet-Qinghai plateau
This plateau is often called "The Roof of the World" because average elevation of 13,500 more than 2 miles above sea level. The Tibet-Qinghai plateau is a rocky land surrounded by towering mountain's. also there are 2 rivers the Huang He and the Yangtze river but the plateau is still dry
Now we are at the Taklimakan Desert
This desert covers about 105,000 square miles and is considered one of the most dangeours deserts in the world. Also legend has it 300 cities and 2 armies are buried 600 feet beneath the sand dunes.
Now we are at the Gobi Desert
Stretching over 500,000 square miles, the Gobi desert is one of the worlds largest deserts. Most of the desert and stony and has not a lot of sand dunes. Plants here seem to be small and small and widely spaced apart.
Now we are at the Northeastern Plain
In this area the plain has a area of great contrasts. It has short, warm summers, but in winter, the northeastern and eastern parts of the plain are dry and cold. The natural vegatation is mostly prairie grass. Some rivers run through this plain like the Liao and the Sungari river
Now we are at The North China Plain.
This area is called the, "Land of Yellow Earth" because the ground was covered in yellow limestone silt. One river called the Huang He runs through plains also the vegetation is good because of the rivers that carries silt that helps fertilized the plants.
Finally we are at the Chang Jiang Basin
The climate in this basin it warm and wet. The Chang Jiang starts in the high western mountains. The basin was very good for growing rice.
