Around the time of the Great Depression, there lived a family of three, known as the Finches. The Finches live in a very racist town called Maycomb, Alabama. The father of the two children, Jem and Scout's name is Atticus and he is a lawyer.
Atticus is asked to defend a black man that is accused of raping a white women. Racism is a huge problem where they live. All of the Finch family goes through obstacles dealing with the towns backlash. However, Atticus does his absolute best to prove Tom innocent.
Atticus gives his final comment to the men and the Jury. Meanwhile, the kids sneak into the trail and run into many people and valuable lessons. They even intrupt the trail once, then the two of them were sent home by their father.
Tom Robinson is found guilty. Tom gets killed while trying to escape from jail.
The father of the accuser, Bob Ewell, threatens Jem and Scout. He laso threatens Tom's wife.
Boo Radley saves the kids from Bob Ewell, killing him. At first, Atticus thinks it's Jem's fault. However, it is later discovered that Boo is the one that did it. Scout escorts Boo home and he is never seen again.
