  • Introduction
  • One dark and gloomy night, a man was just sitting in his library, minding his own business.
  • "Tap tap tap" goes the window. This frightens the man, and he jumps out of his chair
  • Conflict
  • Rising Action
  • "'Tis some visitor", I muttered, "tapping on my chamber window-Only this and nothing more."
  • I cried, "thy God hath let thee-by these angels he hath sent thee Respite-respite and nepenthe from thy memories of Lenore."
  • Climax
  • In this point of the story, the man is talking with the bird, and realizes his only response is "nevermore".
  • "Nevermore".
  • The man is now furious with the Raven because he basically doesn't give him an answer as to whether or not he'll see his Lorena in the afterlife. He is going mad.
  • I cried, "thy God hath let thee-by these angels he hath sent thee Respite-respite and nepenthe from thy memories of Lenore."
  • Falling Action
  • "Nevermore".
  • Resolution
  • "And my soul for out that shadow that lies floating on the floor; Shall be lifted-Never more!"
  • The man, in the end, is very depressed. He is depressed because the Raven won't leave and won't tell him if he'll ever see his Lorena in the after life
