Storyboard Text

  • Do you see all these people walking and running? We all do the same thing. We breathe! But the question is how do we breathe?
  • You see, you first inhale. Then, the air goes through your trachea down to your chest. Fun fact: the average person breathes in the equivalent of 13 pints of air every minute.
  • After the air is in your chest, it travels down to the Bronchial Tubes. This brings the air into the lungs. Some people have sleep apnea which causes people to stop breathing in their sleep.
  • What happens next is, the air inside the Bronchial Tubes then goes to the Aveoli.
  • From the alveoli, the Diaphragm helps push the air out. After the heart, the diaphragm is the most important muscle in the body.
  • Finally, you can exhale!
