The Winter at Valley Forge (1777)
George Washington's Quarters
Gorge valley, the camp of George Washington's army. suffering a string of defeats and losing Pennsylvania (there capital at the time) the army's morale was low
Problems Faced by the Soldiers #1
I thought that the quarters that George Washington was living in would be better than the soldiers quarters and also quarters for other generals with Washington
Problems Faced by the Soldiers #2
The soldiers (patriots) living quarters weren't that fancy as these were huts built in week and the soldiers in the quarters also had low morale from the large amount of losses.
Training with Baron Fredrick von Steuben
The patriots lost the capital to the British and that lowed there morale by a lot
The patriots were also low on supplies such as shoes/clothing and food.
He tought 100 men about maneuvers, and simplified manual of arms. These 100 men were spread apart to teach the rest of the army, and eventually all the army was trained.
