The Proclamation line of 1763 was where the colonists could not settle west of the Appalachian Mountains because of the result of the French and Indian war. The Proclamation line was issued on October 7, 1763 by King George III.

The Boston Massacre was the colonists protesting against the taxes that the British where placing upon them. The soldiers trying to get them to stop where told not to fire but the did and left 5 people dead. The soldiers where convicted of murder but John Adams defended them because he believed in fair trials.

A tea act was inforced that lowers the price of tea but raised the tax of tea, The Sons of Liberty did not like this law so they decided to rebel by dressing up as Indians and throwing millions of dollars worth of tea into the harbor.

This law was put in place after the Boston Tea party to punish the colonists after what they did. To punish them they shut down the Boston harbor, canceled town meetings and enforced the Quartering acts so the colonists had to house British soldiers in their homes.
