On a dark and stormy night. Sergeant-Major Morris Came to Mrs.White, and Mr. Whites house where he tells them and their son Herbert about the monkeys paw that he got from his tip in India. He warns the Whites not to ever use it because its dangerous before he leaves.
When the whites went to bed that night mr.White didn't listen to Morris's warning and wishes for 200 pounds with the paw.
The whites receive news that their son Herbert died at the mill and they inherited 200 punds.
Mrs.White demands Mr. White to wish their son alive that night Mr.white does so warning her how he wouldn't look like Herbert anymore.
Mr.White uses his final wish against Mrs.Whites wish to make it not happen he didn't want to see his undead son so he wished that he never wished at all.
Mrs.White goes to open the door and sees nothing there and the story ends.
