There once was a small rock named Chris who lived by the ocean, he was very happy there because he loved the sound of the crashing waves. One day, the waves were very high and swept Chris from his home,
Chris then found himself being swept under the waves and into sandy bottom. He stayed here for a while until he turned into a metamorphic rock from being under so much heat and pressure.
Chris then slowly started to float back up to the surface, but not the surface he was used to, magma! He found himself floating in there for quite a bit until all of him melted away. He was happy with his home, but yet again, something started to change.
Up up and away Chris went, now to a new home, but first, he needs to cool. That takes very long and Chris is now made up of all new things, quartz, mica, olivine, feldspar, and many others. Chris is now an igneous rock.
BOOM, CRASH! went the sky, as if it were angry. What is that?! Chris yelled over the noisy commotion. It bounced him and the ground and soon he was just a pile of rubble, just some sediments.
Finally, after some long and hard cementation and compaction, Chris was finally a sedimentary rock again after hundreds, thousands, maybe even millions of years later. Until... to be continued!
