Ethan has school, so Bailey does a lot of waiting around to do and free time. "I waited patiently for school to be over and done with." Bailey sighed.
"It's time for a nightmare adventure." Bailey said on page 166. Ethan and Bailey had a lot of time after school, so they would do their favorite things together, (go on adventures and play). "It was easy to climb to the top of the hill and from there it was only a short hop to the ground on the other side."
"The front door was open, and wafting out was the warm scent of home. But another scent was laid on top of that-something chemical, sharp, both unpleasant and familiar. I'd smell it in the garage before, and on the car ride I took with the boy. Gasoline." Bailey said. Then Bailey searched for any signs of gas and there he saw, Todd, with the gas in his hand! Which is Ethan's ex-friend, and they hate each other. Bailey barked at the house to let the firefighters know there were still people in the house. Then the firefighters eventually got Ethan and his mom out of the house, but Ethan got injured in his leg! He will be okay, but it is going to take a while for himself to heal. I read pages 96-175. I think these scenes are significant because they occurred longer than anything else and stuck out to me the most.
