Lord North the new british prime minister was furious so the prime minister closed the harbor until the colonists paid for the tea that hey had dumped over the boat. The massachusets charter was canceled and legisture could only meet when the govener said so.
In the year 1765 prime minister Grenville proposed that the british could tax the colonists with something called the stamp act. This meant that buying any paper product including newspaper would be taxed.
