Oedipus Myth Summary
An oracle told the king that his son would marry his wife, and he would kill him. The royals tried to kill their son.
Your child will kill you and marry your wife!!!!!
The king and Queen of another kingdom took in Opedius.
You're our son now.
Oedipus unknowingly kills his father. He then defeats a sphinx.
He is hailed a hero in this new kingdom. He marries the newly-widowed queen, his mother.
The queen commits suicide. The king gouges out his eyes because he was blind to the truth.
