Storyboard Text

  • Hi! Today I will be explaining the rock cycle. We are here because we are starting with igneous rocks. They are formed from magma solidifying!
  • Instead of magma, we are now solid.
  • These are igneous rocks broken down to little pieces called sediments caused by weathering.
  • We are sediments!
  • Now the sediments, turn into sedimentary rock which can be formed in dry places such as the desert.
  • We form by the process of compaction and cementation!
  • Now, the sedimentary rock becomes metamorphic rock. Why? Because of heat and pressure under the ground making it combine and change.
  • Were finally metamorphic! Yay!
  • Now what we are seeing is that the metamorphic rocks are melting slowly over time because of heat and pressure, they will finally be magma after the process.
  • And here we are, back to igneous rocks, which are formed from magma crystallizing. This is the rock cycle!
