  • The Proclamation of 1763 banned colonists from settling west of the Appalachian mountains.

  • The Stamp Act was the act that put taxes on printed revenue items made in the colonies. (Without Representation)

  • Boston Harbor is being closed!
  • The Boston Massacre took place on the night of March 5, 1770, it was a confrontation between the British Redcoats and the Colonists in which the Redcoats shot and killed 5 colonists.
  • The First Continental Congress 1774
  • The Boston Tea Party took place on the night of December 16, 1773. This event was carried out by the colonists in the Boston Harbor after the Tea Act. The colonists dumped 342 crates of tea into the Boston Harbor to show the British they wouldn't pay taxes for tea again.
  • The Intolerable Acts were laws passed by the British in 1774 after the Boston Tea Party. These laws were created to punish the Colonists after their rebellion at the Boston Tea Party.
  • The First Continental Congress was a meeting of delegates from twelve of the Thirteen Colonies who met from September 5 to October 26, 1774, at Carpenters' Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, early in the American Revolution.
