The Wife’s Story is a short story written by Ursula K. Le Guin in which the wife wants to keep loving her initially perfect husband, but she is having a hard time doing so because her husband is acting strange.
No one was better than her husband; everyone looked up to him, his love, and his talents.
It was said that because of the curse in the blood of her husband and the change of the moon, the husband started acting weird and suspicious during the middle of the night.
One night, the wife saw her husband transform into the enemy; a human.
Although the wife loved her husband, she fought him and called to her pack to protect her family.
The pack killed the human beast and the wife returned home.
