The Rohingya are a Muslim ethnic group living in Rakine state in Myanmar, a mostly Buddhist country. The have been abused by their government.
Rohingya arsa militants launched deadly attacks on more than 30 police posts. Buddhist mobs have used this as an excuse to burn down numerous Rohingya villages and attack civilians.
The Rohingya people are being abused and killed by security forces, sharp objects that could be used for self defense are being removed, fences that surround their village are being destroyed so military raids are easier, and their villages are being burned down.
Due to all the violence towards the Rohingya group, it caused them to flee to Bangladesh where they lived in camps. Before August, there were 307,500 refugees living in camps.
As of April 2018, 6,700 Rohingya people were killed including 700 children.
There is no genicide or ethnic cleaning in Mynamar.
