Sitting in her defeat, a magical fairy came into her presence and gave her a gift.
Dear princess, I award your kindness and bravery with an enchanted bow that will never miss any target you shoot. However, the will to shoot is still yours. Keep in mind that your bravery is more powerful than the magic.
With her gift, the princess was determined to kill the beast and save the girl's parents.
The princess shot the arrow and it hit the beast's heart, just like the fairy promised.
The girl was reunited with her parents and all was well. However, once the arrow was shot, the bow turned to dust. The princess was confused but she remembered what the fairy had told her. It wasn't the magic that she needed, but bravery and strength.
The princess and the family found their way back to their homeland and promised to keep in touch.
After all that the princess had experienced, she thought that she might go out into the world and make a difference while still saving some time to sit by the river and read.
