The Fredonain Rebellion all began with Haden Edwards receiving his empresario contract in 1825. When he revived his contract he brought 800 families near Nacogdoches. he had found family's that had been on the land four over 100 years, and they had been know as the "Old settlers", which Haden had to respect the their property, legal tittles and the rights in which they had according to his contract. Whenever Haden stopped respecting them by forcing them to pay him additional fees for their land. When he did that the Mexican government canceled Hadens contract, then sent the Mexican army and Austins militia led by Austin.
The Grass Fight
When Manuel de Mier y Teran's report came back to the Mexican government they would try to strictly control the American influence in Texas. When the Mexican government did that it created the Law of April 6, 1830. Americans where not allowed to be empresarios any more and only a few were allowed to keep their contracts, there was also no more unauthorized immigration allowed from America. The Mexican government hoped that this would control the American influence. After all of that they began to tax all things from the U.S.
The Battle of the Alamo
After the fight at Anahuac, Piedras blamed Colonel Bradburn for the conflict with the U.S. setters. Even though the events at Anahuac had settled, John Austin came with a cannon to fight Anahuac. On June 26, 1832 the fight broke out,the Mexican soldiers had to surrender because they ran out of ammunition. Although the Texans won both sides had suffered from people being severely injured and the death of several people. Once the advents happened at Anahuac the resistance to the Mexican government grow stronger in the Texan settlers
Battle of San Jacinto
On November 26 one of the Burleson's scouts had reported that he saw more than 100 Mexican solders with animals. Rumors spread quickly that the animals carrying silver. Burleson sent men to go ambush the Mexican solders. The squad that Burleson sent quickly defeated the soldiers. The Texans where sad to find out that the bags only carried fed for the starving animals.
Before the Mexican soldiers arrived the Texans built defenses to protect the Alamo. On February 23, they spotted the Mexican troops, and prepared for a battle. On February 24, the Mexican troops fired the first shot, but the Texans were ready to die for the Alamo. The Texans were out numbered and they needed back up, so Travis wrote A letter for aid. Travis sent out more requests for aid, but Juan Seguin and Bonham know that the Texans would not get there in time so the suck out to Goliad. The Mexicans won the battle of the Alamo and only a few Texans survived, but they will always remember the Alamo.
Remember the Alamo!
On April 20 the Texans camped in a grove of trees on higher elevated than the rest of the grove and the grove was in front of a plains. Santa Anna and his troops arrived at junction, and set up camp. The Mexicans were not expecting the supersize attack from the Texans. The Battle of San Jacinto only lasted about 18 minuets, and only nine Texans would loose there lives. Soon the Texans found out the Santa Anna had fled the fight and later found him in a privets out fit and brought him back to sign Texas´s independence from Mexico.
