Storyboard Text

  • I'm Johnny Cash and I support the war in Vietnam!
  • Look honey! Johnny Cash supports the war! I support Johnny Cash!
  • Stop the war in Vietnam! End the violence!
  • Move! Move! Move!
  • Although many people didn't support the war, there were many that did. They even had the celebrity appeal from country artist, Johnny Cash. These "anti-anti-war" protesters also took to the streets, arguing with those not in support of the war. Most people saw this war as America containing communism and not allowing it to spread to other countries and possibly reach America.
  • Anti-war protesters took up a lot of busy streets, protesting the war and making sure all of America knew that they opposed it. There were many who shared this opinion but still those who didn't would go after the protesters. People were killed and there became almost a war at home, made up of those who weren''t in favor of fighting this fight they thought we shouldn't be involved in.
  • In Vietnam, there were also split views. Some wanted America's help, but majority of the people didn't. The war cost the most for them and they lost more people and had more problems because of the war. The main challenge was the fact that no one truly knew who the communists were, innocent people were killed and their villages destroyed. It was a war fought the wrong way, and the South had little chance to win.
