  • This was the Proclamation of 1763. This was when the American Colonists were prohibited in settling west of the Appalachian Mountains.
  • The Tea Act
  • Get that tea Out of here!!!
  • In 1764 Parliament Passed the Sugar Act. With the goal of raising 100,000 pounds, an amount equal to one fifth of the Military expenses in North America. The Sugar Act signaled the end of colonial exemption from revenue of raising taxation.
  • Intolerable Act
  • The Boston Massacre was when there was a street fight in 1770 between Patriots and British soldiers. The Patriots were throwing sticks and stones and the British soldiers responded with gun fire.
  • The first Continental Congress
  • The Tea Act was in 1773. The Tea Act was when they reduced the large amount of tea held by the financially troubled British East India Company in its London warehouses and to help the financially struggling company survive.
  • The Intolerable Act were laws passed by the British Parliament in 1774 after the Boston Tea Party. The laws were made to punish the Massachusetts colonists for there defiance in the Tea Party protest.
  • No Intolerable Act
  • Stop protesting and we will pass that law.
  • The first Continental Congress was to organize colonial resistance to Parliament's Coercive Acts.
