I challenge you to a gift-giving contest!!! Whoever wins gets to watch over the village.
The water is not fresh it is salty!
This is my gift it is a river with fresh water.
These are amazing we love it!
My gift is a grove of olives that have large varieties of use.
One day there was a knew coastal village that needed to be looked over by a god. When Athena showed up her uncle Poseidon was there also. There couldn't be two gods, so Athena challenged her uncle two a contest of who could give the best gift to the villagers.
Athena's gift was amazing but we cannot afford to upset the lord of the sea.
Poseidon provided the villagers with a river. When they went up to taste it the water was salty it wasn't fresh.
Athena won fair in square. I declare my niece the winner!!
Athena gave her gifts as olive trees. They were delicious. The olives could be used for large varieties of things.
In your honor, we are going to be named the Athens!
Even though Athena's gift was better, none of the villagers wanted to upset the lord of the sea because they were a coastal town.
Poseidon knew that his niece had a better gift than his. So, he claimed Athena the winner of the contest.
In honor of Athena, the village was named the Athens. When you use logical thinking it could help you with a lot.
