Storyboard Text

  • Shelter
  • Our shelter is temporary and we use caves, and we have to move so we can find new plants to gather and follow herds of animals.
  • Our shelter has changed because we now build tents out of different materials such as straw and sticks. They are still temporary shelters.
  • Our shelter has changed because we now have permanent homes. They are made out of mud bricks, and we have whole communities to make trades in the communities to get what we want more easily.
  • Gathering and Hunting
  • We have to hunt our food and move around to follow herds, and hunting can become very dangerous. We also have to gather crops which can become hard when we collect all the crops in an area. Then, we have to move.
  • We now hunt animals for food and their skins to build better shelters, but it is dangerous to hunt and we have to move a lot to follow herds. We now gather straw to help build shelters, and eat other crops. We have to move a lot to find new crops in a different area.
  • We now have domesticated animals that we can gain resources from such as milk, meat, and they can carry heavy loads. We don't have to move around to follow herds. We now can grow crops instead of having to find them. We don't have to move because if we don't have any more crops we can just grow new ones.
