  • One of the greatest players in Badminton in the late 40s and 40s, Ong Poh Lim, tells us about his adventures he had when playing with the elites

  • One of his experiences was playing against an extraordinary player many times, and that eventually made him heighten his sense of awareness on the court
  • He also travelled a lot on a tour with the experienced player. This resulted in many opportunities to learn form the player. Ong Poh Lim would beto play with the experienced player.
  • In conclusion, the vigorous training with playing with elite players increasingly helped Ong Poh Lim become a better player and eventually become one of the best

  • In Ong Poh Lim's time as a badminton player, he invented a new move, the Crocodile serve, which helped him in the many games he played
  • A Crocodile Serve: Hit or Slice?
  • He invented crocodile serve which causes the shuttle cock to wobble in the air, making it harder for his opponent to hit it. He does it by slicing the shuttle cock just a little bit with the racket when serving
  • He had many relatives who would come to his house to challenge him. This is where he would practice his serve before eventually using it in tournaments against experienced players
  • In conclusion, when inventing a technique, it will never be perfect at first. It must be practiced over and over again before it can be used against skilled opponents
