Ugh, that horrific Eye.... That Ugly Evil Eye. I simply can’t see it no more. I’ve decided; I will kill the man so that the eye will be gone with him too.
Oh my, young fellow, how wonderful the day is today. Will you be joining me on a wonderous walk today?
In an old man's kitchen sat a caretaker and an old man. They both sit in the dining lounge, conversating amongst each other The old man simply sits and talks to his helper, while the other does different. The caretaker himself, thinks of the horrible eye of the old man and his madness gives him the idea to rid his life of not only the eye, but the old man too.
The caretaker watched the old man every night for 8 nights at midnight, careful not to wake him. He used a dim lantern to observe the man, precisely opening the hatch to the lantern and refracting a slim piece of light directly on the eye. The caretakers stealthiness brought him glee, and he felt successful with his insane mission.
On the eighth night, the caretaker resumed his nightly ritual, but had messed up by making a creaking noise with the lantern. The old man awoke in fright, and they both stayed as still as mice for an hour. The fright from the man brought the caretaker happiness inside, but also sympathy.
After about an hour, the caretaker goes back to shining the light on the "evil eye", which yet again wakes up the old man, which also provokes the caretaker to finally get rid of the eye. The old man senses someone is coming near him, so he screams in fright, but the caretaker covers his mouth with a pillow before he can get another one out. The madman finally realizes he killed the man, and laughs in mockery.
The caretaker is no longer just the caretaker, but has now taken on the madman role he has always been called to be. The madman now considers himself a genius, and chops up the old man with no trace of evidence, and hides the body parts under the floor boards, right in plain sight.
By the time the clock strikes 4 am, the police have arrived, called from a neighbor who heard a yell. The caretaker covers it up by simply saying that it was he who had yelled in his slumber. The police inspect the place for foul play, but find nothing, and so they all sit down for tea. The madman begins to hear a faint sound, which slowly and gradually increases. He begins to panic and believes the officers are mocking him with their conversation and laughter. The sound is now thumping, and the madman realizes that it is the old man's heart beating under the floor boards. After so much, the madman finally admits to murdering the old man and burying him under the floor boards.
