  • Animal and Plant Cell
  • I let the cars go in and out. Just like the cell membrane does.
  • Cell Membrane
  • Vacuole
  • I store food and other things. Just like the vacuole.
  • This house is just like the plant and animal cells. It has many things inside just like a cell does. The things inside a cell are called cell organelles some of which include: cell membrane, vacuole, mitchondria, nucleus, and cell wall.
  • Mitochondria
  • The cell membrane controls what goes in and out of the cell. The garage lets the cars go in and out. This is a perfect example for the cell membrane. The cell membrane is in both animal and plant cells. It is a protective cover over all cells.
  • Nucleus
  • I direct people to the upsairs. Just like the nucleus does when it directs cell activities.
  • A kitchen stores food and other things. A vacuole stores food, water, and waste. When a vacuole is full it shapes the stem of a plant. This is called turgor pressure.
  • Cell Wall
  • I'm the one who holds up the house and I give the shape of the house. Just like the cell wall.
  • This is where everyone hangs around and a lot happens. Just like the mitchondria.
  • The living room is like the mitochondria because this is where everything happens. The mitochondria releases energy from food. This is also know as the power house. This is also found in both animal and plant cells.
  • The nucleus directs all cell activities. It is found in both plan and animal cells. It contains genetic material, DNA instruction for everything the cell does. The nucleus is like the comand center of the cell.
  • The cell wall gives support for the cell. It also gives shape to the cell. It is only found in plant cells. The cell wall is like a protective cover.
