  • Who is involved in representative democracy? a representative democracy is a system of government in which all eligible citizens vote on representatives to pass laws for them.
  • What is the difference between direct democracy and representative democracy?
  • Democracy is a form of government.  &   In a direct democracy, citizens propose, decide, and change Constitutional laws; initiate referendums; and choose and remove public officials who are not effectively doing their jobs.
  • Where did direct democracy begin?        around 508 BCE.

  • around 500 BC.   When did representative democracy begin?
  • Where did direct democracy begin?    Canada, the United States of America and the United Kingdom all have representative democracies.
  • (as in the United States)       Where is representative democracy used today?
  • Why did direct democracy happen?      So we know who will be the president of our community and what are laws are going to be.
  • because without any laws then our community will be hectic. Why is it best for representative democracy to be used today?
