Look at my scowl! This is how you get the girls, Victor!
Uhhh... okay Michael.
Teresa... she will be my girl this year!
Yeah, that's me.
It is the beginning of 7th grade, and Michael, Victor's friend, has found a new way to get girls' attention. Victor is not so sure about this new technique, that is until he tries it and a girl looks at him.
Tres bien. Parlez-vous francais?
Teresa probably thinks I'm a fool.
Victor likes Teresa, and is hoping to be in her French class. Although, to get Teresa to notice him, he will have to do something more than just looking from afar. Good thing he has some ideas...
I didn't know you knew French. That was good.
After homeroom, Victor manages to catch Teresa's eye, but then totally messes up when speaking with her! Later that day, in English class, when asked to give an example of a noun, he replies by saying Teresa! At lunch he tries to spot her by moving around, and then finally catches her eye. Teresa's next class is French, which Victor has too.
When the teacher asks if anyone knows any French, Victor raises his hand, just to impress Teresa. He doesn't know that the teacher will speak back to him in French. Victor doesn't know what to say at first, and so he just makes something up. Mr. Bueller figures out that he doesn't know any French.
Uhhh. Con le grandma...
Mr. Bueller finishes up class, but out of embarrassment, he cannot participate very well. Once the bell rings, he darts out of the room, but then realizes that he forgot his math book. While he is in there his is confronted by Teresa who says she is surprised that he "knows" French.
Yeah, well I picked up a few things...
Then, much to Victors surprise, she asks if he will help her with French. And, of course, he says that he will. Once the day at school was done, he sprinted to the library where he checked out three French textbooks.
