  • Haden Edwards received his empresario contract from the Mexican government in 1825.Haden Edwards found that a number of Mexican families, Anglo setters, and Cherokees had lived on the land for years.Edwards contract required him to respect all of the property rights.To all of the setters who had legal titles.He decleared the setters to pay him fees.

  • The Fredonian Rebellion was a minor event , but it attracted a lot of attention.American intreast in the fredonian Rebellion was a worried the Mexican government .In the 1820s the .U.S government had made several offers to buy Texas from MEXICO.Mier y Teran Report, he noted that Mexican influence in Texas decreased. As one moved north ward and east ward.
  • Battle of the Alamo
  • A Mexican force led by Colonel Jose de las Piedras arrived from Nacogdoches.To restore the peace Piedras recommended removing Bradburn from his post.Colonel Domingo de Ugartechea, commander refused to let rebels pass.After three day the Mexican troops ran out of ammunition and had to surrender.The colonists had won the Battle of Velasco.

  • The battle of Gonzales was the first battle of the Texas Revolution.Because Texas refuse to give up the come and take it cannon.By 1885, people in Texas were upset with the Mexican Government because of Santa Anna actions.Mexican general Domingo de Ugartechea, the commander in Texas ordered the people of Gonzales to hand over the come and take it cannon.Many people responded to the call for help.
  • In 1836 the battle of the Alamo resulted in the massacre of Texan troops.The Texan troops lost this battle.But would bounce back with revenge.Green Jameson was a lawyer and was in charger in strengthening the plaza walls.Officer Almaron Dickinson was in charge in the locations of the forts 21 cannons.
  • On April 20th the Texans would camp in a grove of live oak trees on high ground.In front of them was a wide field.The only way the Mexicans could attack them was in front of them.Santa Anna and his forces arrived at the junction of the San Jacinto River and Buffalo Bayou that afternoon.That set up camp in a vulnerable spot.The morning of April 21 General Cos arrived on the field with 540 Mexican troops.
