The battle of Gonzales was the first battle of the Texas Revolution.Because Texas refuse to give up the come and take it cannon.By 1885, people in Texas were upset with the Mexican Government because of Santa Anna actions.Mexican general Domingo de Ugartechea, the commander in Texas ordered the people of Gonzales to hand over the come and take it cannon.Many people responded to the call for help.
