Factories can cause pollution to harm the environment. Pollution can cause acidic rain which can damage lakes, ponds, rivers, soils. Leading to damaged wildlife and forests.
Another harm to the environment is hunting too much of one animal. This can affect the environment by making a scarcity of that animal which will harm animals in that food chain.
Deforestation has a big affect on the environment. Cutting down trees is ok to some extent, but cutting down trees faster than they can grow can cause harm the animals and plants that live in the trees or around the trees.

Water pollution is also has a major affect on the environment. Polluting water can harm animals and plants in the water, and also animals drinking the polluted water.
Burning fossil fuels can also pollute the environment. The way this happens is the sulfur from the coal combines with the oxygen to make a polluting gas called sulfur dioxide.
Overgrazing can have negative affects on the environment. Overgrazing is where there are too much animals in that area that they graze so heavily they pact the soil so much that it can harm the environment. This can cause less use for soil in an area, and can cause more erosion in that area. This can also damage vegetation and plant life in that area.
